The RISE Series embraces our individuality and personal contradictions. Beginning with AASHA. THE SPIRAL OF LIFE, who is caught in a liminal state floating between life and death. Raising many questions including the cause of her death, life after death and what lies in between. While I KEEP MY EYES FIXED ON THE SUN, has symbolic messages throughout focusing on inner strength, personal freedom, diversity and overcoming rage and oppression through artistic means such as art, dance and music. These themes reverberate throughout the series and resonate in our world today.

Multilayered Resin Mixed Media
This is video is a tour around the painting after her 5-6th resin pour. I wanted to capture the depth and 3D quality of the work which is difficult when shooting straight on....And then the resin itself is highly reflective which makes quite a challenge. The other aspect of viewing the whole piece close up and around is somewhat symbolic of her meaning. The Spirit of Rebirth.
Aasha. The Spiral of Life and Death. is a recent 3.D Mixed Media Resin Painting I created. This is a spoof on the traditional Instagram painting videos I see. I wanted to do a fun, entertaining and perhaps humorous video of her. A carnival ride at the local fair. So, Here It Is.! The Ride of Your Life! Watch Out Disneyland!
